Description:

Manuel G. Vera & Associates, Inc. (MGV) is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to join our Team. MGV has been providing Design Survey & Right-of-Way (ROW) Mapping services to the South Florida area for over 40 years. MGV employs a staff of over 60 skilled Professional Surveyors and Associates with extensive experience in a wide range of Surveying and Mapping services. This position will be responsible for the following:

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Welcome and greet clients and office guests

Support office staff and executives with general operational tasks

Answer phones in a professional manner and direct calls to appropriate persons or take detailed messages

Assist with travel arrangements for field crews as needed

Assist with typing correspondence letters, emails, memos, etc. (paper and electronic); prepare outgoing mail and packages for the office

Assist in preparation of marketing and presentation materials

Maintain office equipment; repair or replace malfunctioning equipment and hire technicians when required

Monitor office supplies inventory, and notify management of items needed

Ensure office is kept clean and organized at all times

Assist in maintaining client and project information on internal database system

Requirements and Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required

5+ years of experience as an administrative assistant

Fast, proficient, and accurate typist

Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite and other administrative programs

An outstanding communicator, both orally and written

Excellent customer service skills

Self-starter who works well independently

Ability to prioritize given tasks and work efficiently towards completing them

Familiar with common office equipment (printers, copier, fax, etc.)

Detail-oriented and exceptional organizational skills

Experience with complex file management

Strong problem solver and analytical thinker

Professional demeanor

*This position is part-time (Monday Friday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm), with the possibility of becoming full-time.


Requirements and Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required

5+ years of experience as an administrative assistant

Fast, proficient, and accurate typist

Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite and other administrative programs

An outstanding communicator, both orally and written

Excellent customer service skills

Self-starter who works well independently

Ability to prioritize given tasks and work efficiently towards completing them

Familiar with common office equipment (printers, copier, fax, etc.)

*This position is part-time (Monday Friday from 12noon to 5:00pm), with the possibility of becoming full-time.

*This position is paying $13-$18 per hour, depending on experience.
